This one is for my son’s birthday. He works in micro-hydro engineering. The willow was collected from a small tree modified by those wild engineers, the Tay beavers. I tied up some of their wood-chippings to go with the basket.
I think the Hydro Basket is absolutely brilliant! Here’s one example of some work going on around vortices. http://www.vortexhydroenergy.com. It uses ‘pulling’ forces that naturally occur if the conditions are just right – around a fish for example.
Another beauty.

This is gorgeous! I love the pussy willow inside the bowl and the bundle of chips from the beavers. What a super gift!
